Brief History
Lucius Ignatius was/is a young pureblood garlean defector. At a young age, he was forced into labor by his garlean father, Decius Ignatius after he had shown promise to being a child prodigy, in regards to building magitek machinery. Lucius' success had made his father rise through the ranks to a Legatus with his weaponry his son built him, and he was appointed to the XVth Legion (custom lore) as a Special Operations Legion, or Frumentarius branch.
Lucius continued to toil away, in nothing but a room that was built just for his work. He never attended school, rarely was let out aside from explaining and demonstrating his creations. At times, they didn't work. Decius then physically and verbally abused him in private venues for making him look like a fool publicly. That made Lucius question his own allegiance to the Garlean war-machine. When he asked about certain propaganda, he was always shot down and told to obey without question. It didn't stop him from still considering defection.
Eventually, the day came that his father had a mission for him--to the city states as an infiltrator. He had no training, yet he was the young age of eighteen to scarcely be even suspected of such a task. His father forced him into fixing his communicator to be a 'suicide bomb' that could be remotely detonated if he should attempt to defect. Lucius was to rendezvous with another garlean frumentarius legion that operated within the city states, in order to be kept watch on as he completed his mission. Only, the mission was to plant bombs within each city state that could be detonated all at once. Lucius would have eventually been found out as the culprit... and he knew it was a suicidal mission then. Upon learning that, he took desperate measures to jam the communicator, as well as look for help to save himself--making a new family in Eorzea, and many friends along the way.
As of recent, Lucius has found that he was 'adopted' by the Ignatius family soon after his birth by the Volturcius family. In the past, the Ignatius had miscarried their initial child, in which Decius Ignatius sought out a suitable son to carry on his legacy. The Volturcius had just lost the man of the family, and the mother had sought to give up Lucius to the Ignatius for temporary income after grieving over her husband and finding Lucius resembled his father too much, but passed away herself soon after from heart ache. Lucius had learned that he was Volcatia 'V' Volturcius' younger brother after finding a family heirloom on Decius' body after his death, in which Volcatia recognized as the Volturcius amulet, and their blood-relation was solidified after testing their blood for a match. Now, Lucius and V have found they have surviving family... and must decide what sides they will choose.

Hair & Eyes
Lucius' hair is like most of his pureblood garlean heritage, a platinum blonde. He often wears it above shoulder length, or at the least shoulder length, depending on how it is styled. It can be longer and styled differently if he so chose, but it is often well-kept and self-styled. His eyes often have a shade of eyeshadow along the lids, and the eyes are strikingly silvery blue, but with a bit of a lifelessness behind them like most purebloods.
Physique & Markings
Lucius' physique is toned, somewhat lithe. Though he is a bit shorter than most of his kind as a Pureblood Garlean. At his forehead, he has a third eye, like all purebloods which is often covered up (though these days, he feels covering it just makes him feel like he's hiding something. If people have issue with his presence, he typically leaves or explains his refugee status). Other than that birthmark, he has no markings of note.
Magitek Arm:
(NOTE: Please do not be afraid to RP combat with me because of this--I tend to be fair in combat, and I will never use it to god mode. Every part of this character has been made through real-time RP, but I will always be fair.)
He has a hidden magitek right arm that has undergone almost a whole years worth of adjustments (in real time) and upgrading of components & materials. It would be very similar to Edward Elric's (Full Metal Alchemist) automail arm, but more like the Winter Soldier's (Marvel) style. The material is reinforced garlean steel infused with adamantium metal (it is strong, but light--still able to be destroyed by very heavy force.
Some capabilities include a deployable electrical wire (disposable), water gun from finger (an ice crystal placed inside), and tracking capability with use of DNA evidence (blood, fur, etc). The arm itself is covered by synthetic rubber, which allows for sensation of touch via the fingertips. It is connected just beneath the bicep by a steam-sealed connector and nerve endings. It hurts quite a lot to remove and replace things or fix things.
Hygiene & Attire
He is often very well-kept, and carries the scent of cherry blossoms. His attire can range from very formal and extravagant, to a casual adventuring attire. His favorite 'style' of clothing would be doman inspired.
Personality
Lucius' psychological state is fairly varied. Due to how his treatment was by his father, he has a bit of trauma. He doesn't like enclosed spaces (was locked in a small room to work), and has a strong hatred for slavery of any kind (as he had witnessed it within Garlemald's walls).
Recently, he had undergone torture as he was reacquired by his father and subjected to torture, as well as being disciplined to become his father's 'perfect' assassin, through use of the resonant project that was helmed by the Garlean Scientist Aulus mal Asina (In Game NPC). This has taken a major toll on his psyche, making him at times erratic and even dangerous if someone should anger him enough. It would certainly be a different cry from his earlier pacifist mindset. Even though he broke free of the chip that was controlling his mind, he is haunted by things he remembers in his sleep.
Voice
Lucius' voice can be described as soft, and firm at the same time.
World Outlook & Mannerisms
Lucius' world outlook of things, are that he wishes that Garlemald and Eorzeans could finally stop fighting each other, and do away with destructive magitek and conquering. Mannerisms are varied.

OOC Note on Combat RP
I tend to prefer free-form rolling with the In Game /random function. However, if my partner prefers, I am able to accommodate into almost any system. I will always play fairly OOC in combat. Meta/Godmodding is something I am very against. If I feel that I am being godmodded, or meta'd, please expect that I will call it out privately. All of my attacks against another character should be considered attempts, even if not directly stated as so. If you have any questions or concerns while we're RP-fighting, please talk to me!

His magitek arm is made of the strong, yet light metal of adamantium and reinforced garlean metal, which can break through bone, or weaker metals if enough force is applied. However certain heats and force can also break the arm.
Aside the arm materials, he can utilize a deployable charged electrical wire, and a few other small combat-oriented knick-knacks from his arm.

My main server is Balmung NA (Crystal Data Center).I do plan to utilize the World Visit function to meet off-server roleplayers.I am EST time zone, but have spotty play times. Long-term friends and RP contacts are preferred! I am capable of RPing almost anything. 18+, Dark, ERP (not without some build-up and cause). I will not RP 18+ scenarios with anyone I know, or believe to be underage. That includes underage characters.Please ask for Discord, I do have it but I prefer to meet and get to know someone first. It may be posted in some places, if you find it, feel free to add and let me know who you are/where from. I am lore adherent, but will bend if things make sense.I do NOT deal with OOC drama, what so ever. I don't care if you have issues with someone I am friends with or not. You can simply not RP with me, or you can ignore the person you dislike. Warnings are fine, but please do not push me in between your feud. With any hint of OOC drama, OOC bleeding, etc. I will drop the RP. That being said, I am very approachable and kind when I am able to be. If you have an issue with me what so ever, I would ask that you speak up in private to me, especially in regards to RP if you are uncomfortable in any way, shape or form. RP Limits
I will play: Almost anything! I enjoy darker/mature themes, romances, interesting plots, etc. I consider myself experienced in RP and adaptable to a lot of things.Ask about: Permanent disfigurement, imprisonment, maiming, etc. of my character. If you intend to harm a friend of his, and he finds out as well, please know that I expect consequences to be done to the aggressor when applicable. I do not like when people who play as villains, always getting off scot-free without any long-term semi-permanent consequences when caught. No one is invincible, and there ARE guards in cities. I won't play/with: Death of my character (I will allow any kind of consequence besides death), pure continuous ERP (I do RP romance with ERP, but I will not continuously RP it if it makes no sense what so ever--come up with something. No underage characters or players in ERP. No Futas, fetishized characters, etc. If there is anything you want to question (kinks/triggers/etc), please ask me and I can tell you whether or not I am comfortable with it.
What I expect from my RP partners: I expect my RP partners to respect me OOC, just as I would them. That means, first and foremost, DO NOT LIE TO ME OOC. I also expect my partners to be communicative with me OOC. If you feel uncomfortable with the path that the RP is heading, or if you want to 'stop' an RP outright for whatever reason, PLEASE tell me.
If you are wanting to have RP go a certain way (if a character splits up with my character as a romantic partner, or cheats IC for example) PLEASE tell me before the RP has happened if at all possible. With-holding important information OOC from a trusted RP partner is wrong. Communication is key with me.
What You can expect from me as an RP partner: I always try to treat my partners with the respect that I would want shown to me. However, if I feel threatened, disrespected, etc. do not expect me to treat you respectfully. RP is supposed to be fun and enjoyable for all involved. As soon as it becomes an argument or unfair treatment, I will cut the RP off. I am very open to communication, ideas, and very laid back OOC as long as we both share mutual respect.
False rumors are abound in the Balmung RP community. Please talk to me before assuming I am a bad person/a bad roleplayer/etc. If you are someone who spreads rumors, I implore you to push people into forming their own judgements of others, not your own, even if warranted.
I will not RP with someone if they start getting angry at me for hanging out with people that they deem 'bad' or 'know' bad things about. I will RP with who I want, and I will respect your right to as well. Warnings are fine, just don't expect me to just drop everything because you had a bad experience with the person I am currently playing with.
Character Lore Adherence Notes & Concept
I constantly strive to adhere to established FFXIV lore as closely as I possibly can, within available bounds. At times, I bend things slightly for creative enjoyment, but usually it isn't outside the bounds of believability. If something about my character seems unbelievable or 'off' way too much, please whisper me and we can chat on it. I am always open to compliments, and constructive criticism on my character. Just please don't be rude or snobbish. Just because you believe something should be a certain way, doesn't mean I will change it. I will just hear you out and decide from our discussion. I will bullet some custom lore that I have created for this character.
Decius, his adopted 'Pureblood Garlean' father is the Legatus of the frumentarius (spy) XVth Legion. (If a XVth Legion is found to be used in lore, I will adjust the numeral or say he heads a small branch of it.)More may come!
Lucius' concept was brought about from a love of the Garlean lore, and the want to play an undercover defector. In my experience in roleplay, the more difficult roles are the ones I enjoy playing--and I believe I roleplay them fairly well (this can be disputed, of course). The character has a strong foundation, and a means to evolve through interactions with people, friend and foe alike. I really enjoy when people treat him disrespectfully due to his heritage as a garlean pureblood, as I wouldn't play this kind of character trying to avoid consequential roleplay--consequences and risks are what make RP fun for me. (That being said, I do not allow my character to be killed without questioning first. Consequences such as scars, broken limbs, etc. are some consequences I am okay with, but I am very open to discussion on these!)

Longterm Romance: If interested in this, please talk with me first before initiating in hopes Lucius will reciprocate. (I would vastly prefer if you were on Balmung for the possibility of bonding ritual much later, but I understand how difficult it is getting there, so I am open to starting cross-realm and see how things go.)
I'd like to take the RP slow, and get to know you as well as your character. ERP will happen, but I prefer only when it comes naturally. I rarely prefer fade-to-black, unless necessary. This is IC romance only. Any deliberate OOC bleeding will prompt me to drop the RP immediately. This requires heavy communication OOC with me as your partner. If you plan to have your character cheat, or do something behind Lucius' back, please be honest and just say its happening--I wont be upset, I just want to have communication so we are both on the same page.~~
I do have online art classes that I take in the Fall and Spring months. My activity will be much more spotty around those times depending on the work load. Having a closer timezone to EST or an adjustable activity schedule to fit EST hours also helps for long-term romance (but I am usually around evenings to late nights). I don't mind finishing IG RP on discord if one of us has to log off for a session, but I vastly prefer IG-based RP. Feel free to inquire about this if you have questions.
Please also note, Lucius has preferences for certain men. They will be listed in order of preference--most preferred to least preferred. Also note, for those that care about it, Lucius by default is a switch leaning heavily to sub. I don't really like to put my character into a section or trope--I prefer to just let the characters 'be' as they will be. Ask questions if curious:
Most of the first three races have a well-rounded shot, but in certain types. He likes those who can take charge, who are slightly taller than him, have a flirty/naughty side, and a boyish playful attitude--generally 'young' guys around his age (18-25, might go to 27. Any higher, ask.) He wants a lover and companion who will support him and protect him, just as he would them. I would hope to play many different stories/plots with his would-be lover (Adventure, Horror, 'Fantasy', Comedy, etc.) Not just sitting around and romancing each other all day (even if that is a good bit of what we might do--mixing it up is important so things dont get dull!)
